Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Dumpster Flash LLC ("Dumpster Flash," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses and shares personal information when you use dumpsterflash.com (the "Platform"), book a dumpster, or join our partner network. It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.

Dumpster Flash rents its own dumpsters and also works with a network of independent local dumpster rental companies ("Partners") to serve more regions. The company that delivers a dumpster, whether Dumpster Flash or a Partner, is called the "Provider."

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

Customers: first and last name, email address, phone number, delivery address, delivery date, placement instructions and the details of your order.
Payment details: card payments are processed by Stripe. We receive the payment status and a reference, but never your full card number. For Zelle payments, we keep the confirmation code you or our team enter.
Partners and applicants: company name, owner or contact name, email, phone, business address, service radius, dumpster offers and prices, and payout details (Stripe Connect account or Zelle recipient details).
Messages: what you send us through the contact form.
Delivery photos: photos of the delivered dumpster taken by the Provider at the delivery address, attached to the order as proof of delivery.

Information collected automatically

Security data: IP address (stored in a hashed, non-reversible form for rate limiting and abuse prevention) and browser information in security logs for signed-in areas.
Cookies: we use only essential cookies that keep you signed in to the customer, partner or admin areas. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Location data from addresses: we convert addresses into map coordinates to find nearby Providers and calculate driving distances. We do not collect your device's GPS location.

2. How we use information

To show the Providers that serve your location and calculate prices, distances and availability.
To create, manage and fulfill your rental, including sharing the necessary details with the Provider.
To process payments, refunds and Partner payouts.
To send transactional emails and, if you opted in, text messages about rentals, payments and payouts.
To review Partner applications and manage the partner network.
To answer questions and support requests.
To protect the Platform, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only as follows:

With the Provider of your rental: your name, phone number, delivery address, placement instructions and rental dates, so it can deliver and pick up the dumpster. Partners may use this information only to fulfill your order.
With service providers that operate the Platform for us:
Google Maps Platform (address suggestions, address validation, geocoding and driving distances). Google's own privacy policy applies to its services, including the address autocomplete shown on our pages.
Stripe (card payments and Partner payouts).
Amazon Web Services (sending emails and text messages).
Our hosting, DNS and security providers.
For legal reasons: when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to enforce our Terms.
Business transfers: if Dumpster Flash is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Text messages (SMS)

We send text messages only to customers who checked "Text me order updates" and to Partners with text alerts turned on.
Messages are transactional: order received and payment link, payment confirmation, delivery and pickup notices for customers; new paid orders and payouts for Partners.
Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
We do not share mobile phone numbers or text messaging opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is shared only with the service providers that deliver the messages for us.

5. Emails

We send transactional emails needed to provide the service, such as booking and payment confirmations, payment instructions, Partner application updates, new orders and payouts. These are not marketing emails and are sent while you have an active order, application or account with us.

6. How long we keep information

Incomplete bookings (abandoned before an order is placed) are deleted about one day after they expire.
Orders, payments, payouts and related records, including delivery photos, are kept as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.
Partner application data is kept while the application is under review and afterwards as needed for our records.
Map coordinates obtained from Google are refreshed or removed within 30 days, as required by Google's terms.

7. Security

We use HTTPS encryption, encrypted storage of service credentials, access controls by role and logging of administrative actions. Delivery photos are stored privately and shown only to the customer of the order, its Provider and authorized Dumpster Flash staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

8. Your choices and rights

Access, correction and deletion: you may ask for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we must keep by law. Use our contact form.
Text messages: reply STOP, uncheck the option when booking or, for Partners, turn off text alerts in the Partner Dashboard.
State privacy rights: depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law. We will honor those requests as required by law and will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

9. Children

The Platform is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and you must be 18 or older to book a rental.

10. Where we operate

Dumpster Flash serves customers in the United States, and information is processed and stored in the United States.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version and effective date are shown at the top of this page.
